The Willow pattern was invented in England in the late 18th century: a Chinese love story, made up for English china, in which two lovers become a pair of birds.
We drew it back the other way. Two swans, who pair for life, glide across a lotus pond beneath a willow, with a pavilion and an arched bridge behind them, all in cobalt blue and white. A scarf for weddings, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.
